Media can be easily used inside Canva for creating church announcements, sermon slides, social media posts, and more. Follow these steps to bring your Media content into Canva.
1. Download Media
Go to your Downloads or browse the Media Library.
Download the media file you want to use (motion, still, social graphic).
Save the file to your computer. Still graphics are typically JPEG or PNG, which work well in Canva.
2. Upload Media to Canva
Go to canva.com and sign in.
Open or create a design.
In the left sidebar, click Uploads, then click Upload Files.
Select your downloaded Media still graphic or motion file (if using Canva Pro for video).
Once uploaded, the file will appear in your library and can be dragged into your design.
3. Use Media in Your Design
Drag your Media image or video into the canvas area.
Resize or crop as needed to fit your layout.
Add text, shapes, logos, or other design elements on top of the Media background.
Pro-Tip: Use Media stills as backdrops for announcements, title slides, or social media posts. If using motion graphics, make sure you’re on a Canva Pro plan to export video.
4. Download or Share Your Final Design
Click Share or Download in the top-right corner.

Choose the file type:
PNG or JPEG for static images
MP4 for motion videos (Canva Pro only)
Use the exported graphic in your church presentations, website, or social media channels.
